Hello there pretty, how are things going in your lovely world?

I’m very well cheers just finished a mini tour supporting Eskimo Joe and now looking forward to the tour and album release in May.

To anyone who hasn’t heard of you yet, how would you describe your sound?

A mixture of rock and roll and soul with big strings and melodies

Tell us a bit about the inspiration behind your foxy new record…

What inspired me was the fact that I was in a job i didn’t enjoy and dreamed about writing an album that i was proud of.

If you were going to give us just one song of yours to listen to so that you would become our new favourite singer, what would it be?

I’d probably give you 'If just for tonight'. its probably my favourite song off the album. Its about not realising what you have got until its gone and realising that you have been a fool and would be lost without this person.

If you could cover another musician’s song, what would it be?

There are loads of songs but ill go for 'suspicious minds' Elvis Pressley. its a great track and one that everyone knows the chorus. also i just want to put on that 'white Vegas' suit!

And can you sum up your good self in just five words?

A very tall singer/songwriter

What makes you stand out from the crowd?

Depends on what the crowd would be like but i suppose i do have very large hands! does that count?

You know we’re having a bit of an economic crisis here at the moment, if people wanted to spend their last £10 on a cd this weekend, why should they buy yours?

Because i think its only about £7.99 so you can buy 2 cans of beer and really enjoy it!

What three bands would you have to headline your dream festival?

The Beatles, The Who and Oasis

What has been your favourite musical memory to date?

It has to be playing at the Royal Albert Hall in March. It was the best gig I’ve done and the sound was unbelievable but seeing Kasabian at Earls Court last December was special too

Who do you think is the greatest artist around at the moment?

Ryan Adams. Cardinology is a great album

If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Rubber Soul by The Beatles. its pure genius!

Okay, now we want to ask you some random questions; On an airplane you are talking pleasantly to a person of average appearance. Unexpectedly, the person offers you $10, 000 (£5, 000) for one night of sex. Knowing there is no danger and that payment is certain, would you accept the offer?

Absolutely! she could have me for the month for that sort of money

Name an experience which features an animal that you will never forget.

There was this girl id really fancied at school and knowing that my mum wouldn’t be home for a few hours i invited her round; walking through the front door i saw my cat who id forgot to put out in the morning.

She was following right behind me when i saw what i thought was a pack of BBQ flavoured Hula Hoops on the floor, i bent down to pick it up and came up with the biggest piece of cat poo ever seen.

Once i caught the cat I dropped kicked him out of the window (only joking rspca) and i don’t think i seen the girl many times after that!

What one thing did you always want as a child but never get?

Batman costume. I got Robin's outfit instead!

Cheers, good luck with everything & thanks for making my day slightly more entertaining!

Thanks very much Ruth x
