| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review The last quarter-century has been nothing if not colourful for George Michael. But through all the controversy -- the high-profile arrests and audacious videos, the fall-outs and band splits - he has emerged intact as a vital figure on the global pop scene - a fact compounded by his current i25 Live/i tour and this accompanying Greatest Hits package. ITwenty Five/i is the fourth such collection in Michael's career, though it carries the obvious advantage of being more up to date than 1998's lauded iLadies Gentlemen/i and features not only solo material but music from the early Wham! days. As such, it's the most comprehensive anthology yet, featuring upbeat Wham! classics like "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" and "Freedom" amidst sombre solo material like "Praying For Time" and "Jesus To A Child". The collection not only includes a host of evergreen classics, but also recent singles "An Easier Affair" and "This Is Not Real Love" (with former Sugababe Mutya Buena) and two unreleased tracks. There are some notable absences from the collection - "I Want Your Sex" and "Kissing A Fool" are two glaring omissions - but it still remains the most comprehensive survey of the artist's legacy to date. i--Danny McKenna/i

No 1 Album November 21, 2006 Helen Williams (Aberdeen - Scotland) 22 out of 24 found this review helpful
The other people who wrote reviews about this album must be deaf...how can you say George Michael has no talent left when this album is sitting in the charts at number 1. Who cares if this album is slightly like Ladies Gentlemen, how many times has Meatloaf released basically the same album...I don't see you slagging him off. I'm just back from seeing Mr Michael in concert in Manchester and he was awesome. George still has alot to give and long may he continue writing and making new albums. He's a legend. This album would be great in anyone's cd collection...so buy it.
GEORGE MICHAEL IS AMAZING!! December 16, 2006 Emma (United Kingdom) 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
Yes i agree, whoever wrote the first couple of reviews must not only be deaf, but also dumb. I recently went to see him at Wembley where he was fantastic and sung brilliantly live, even though he had a cold. This album is great. Why not get this, Ladies And Gentleman, and the Wham! greatest hits collection, because lets face it, hes worth it. The papers predicted the death of his career a few years back, and yet he's still going, which proves that he is a true star. I love George Michael!
Mostly Brilliant!!! November 3, 2006 John Ganley (Coventry) 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
Twenty Five: Special Edition...? Mostly Brilliant, if somewhat overplayed
br /First Two discs are an upgrade of Ladies Gentleman with added "Patience" and a bit of Wham..
br /As with "Ladies and Gentleman" disc one is for the feet, disc two for the heart. Highlights include Everything She Wants, Spinning the Wheel, Heal the Pain (with Paul McCartney) and Fastlove. Nice to see Older added to the collection this time around, but no Cowboys and Angels? Shame. His most recent tasty offerings of Easier Affair and This Is Not Real Love are also included
br /Disc three however is really worth a listen. It is a collection of gems mostly taken from Patience/Songs of the Century with B Sides plus new track "Understand".
br /You get the impression that George was rather disappointed with the bad press he received for Patience. He seems to be pushing Patience album tracks heavily on the third disc (which is fine by me)
br /One low point however - Wake Me Up Before You Go Go - It has always been and always will be utter tat!

Amazing!! May 4, 2007 D. Ludwig (uk) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
George Michael. This man, though he has recently developed chinks in the armour over the past ten or so years has always wore his musical heart on his sleeve and boy is it a truly masterful one! For all his so called faults the music far outways the trauma in he's life. When you hear this man sing it's as if you are bleeding your heart out with him in song! Yes this compilation does not include some of the classics but who cares. The main thing is that when you listen to Mr Michaels dulcet tones you appreiciate a true master at work. He is a truly soulful man!!!!!
