'The X Factor' contestants will sing Take That and Elton John songs this weekend.
The five remaining singers will have to perform two tracks for the first time this series on Saturday night (28.11.09) as bosses prepare the vocalists ahead of the final in December.
"Learning two tracks is killing them."
A source said: "The plan is for the acts to do one up-tempo number and a more ballady one to show off both sides of their voices.

Although they are struggling to learn the lyrics, remaining singers - Olly Murs, Danyl Johnson, Stacey Solomon, Lloyd Daniels and Joe McElderry - have asked choreographer Brian Friedman to give them more challenging dance moves.
The source added: "Brian is having to come up with loads of energetic dance routines for them. Some, like Olly and Danyl, are convinced that the key to their survival is down to them having a big performance."
Meanwhile, Sugababes singer Jade Ewen is certain the show's winner will get the UK Christmas number one single and admitted she would love next year's show to have a Sugababes-themed week.
She explained: "'X Factor' rules the music industry at the moment. It's so massive. We didn't get asked to go on the show this year and it makes a difference.
"Especially over Christmas, you just know 'X Factor' is going to get number one, simple as that. So you're best off not releasing anything, really.
"Next year we hope they have a Sugababes week for acts to sing our songs."
