The 'Britain's Got Talent' panellist was called up by producers just hours before the singing competition went live last weekend after the 58-year-old music mogul was forced to pull out because he'd fallen down the stairs of his home the day before.

But, although the brunette beauty was feeling slightly under the weather, she's glad she agreed to fill in for the show's boss and that none of the Groups were given the boot.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Pride of Britain Awards, held at Grosvenor House in London on Monday (30.10.17), she said: "I had a great time but obviously it wasn't under the best circumstances, I would have much rather been at home with a cup of tea watching the show, it wasn't ideal but at the same time it was fun and I'm just glad none of his acts went home under my watch.

"I see 'Britain's Got Talent' as my family but because a lot of the same team works across both of the shows, I sort of see it as I'm helping them out doing them a favour. Literally I was sitting on my couch, I was feeling a bit poorly and I was literally feeling sorry for myself about quarter to two in the afternoon and then my phone rang and one of the producers was literally having a hissy fit, I was like don't worry, I gotcha!"

However, although she's always praised when she sits on the panel, the 39-year-old singer has no plans to turn her back on 'Britain's Got Talent' any time soon.

She explained: "It is my baby! I love it, we're the best dysfunctional family on TV. We have done six series together now and the more you work with someone the more comfortable you become in their company, we're friends, we genuinely have a good time working together, it's special and you can't beat that, it just works."
