The 'Great British Bake Off' winner - who shot to fame after swiping the crown for the the last series of the popular cooking show - is keen to take her relationship with her long-term partner Liam Macaulay to the next level by getting hitched in the near future.

Liam told The Sun newspaper: "Yes of course we are going to get married. We already have a pug together -- that's the ultimate sign of commitment. A number of our relatives have been having weddings lately, so the pressure is on."

And, although they're yet to put plans for their big day into motion, the couple have already been approached by some major publications for the rights to the ceremony.

An insider explained: "Candice is a huge star after 'Bake Off' and people are fascinated with her life. Hello! [magazine] has already approached the couple. It would easily cover all the costs so they could do something really special. Candice is actually really normal and overwhelmed by the attention so hasn't made any commitment."

The duo - who currently reside in Bedford - met in 2012 but, despite being smitten with one another, their relationship hit the headlines last year after the lip stick-loving baker arrived on television screens in the hope of picking up the 'GBBO' trophy.

Just weeks after the competition was aired, it was revealed Liam had previously served a 16-month jail term - a year before he met Candice - for dealing cannabis.

Liam and an accessory were detained with £7,000 worth of drugs in their possession 2009 after they were pulled over as they drove from Edinburgh to Inverness in Scotland.

Despite the backlash, Candice is adamant she had nothing to do with the crime.
