Heather Mills is reportedly set to take part in the second series of The Jump.

The star is close to finalising a deal with Channel 4 bosses to sign up for the new series, seeing celebrities compete against one another in various winter sports.

Heather would join Mike Tindall and Sally Bercow on the Austrian slopes next month, and is keen to join the show "on the same basis as able-bodied athletes", despite having lost part of her left leg in a motorcycle accident in 1993.

A source explained to The Sun newspaper: "Bosses are still confirming the deal but she is expected to sign on the dotted line in the next few days before heading out to Austria to start practising.

"Heather is keen to take part on the same basis as able-bodied athletes.

"She loves a challenge and thinks 'The Jump' is a great platform."

Already a keen skier, Heather's been ranked 28th in the world at slalom before she unceremoniously quit the UK disabled ski team last year following a spat with an official.

Heather's said to have screamed "You bitch!" at International Paralympic Committee member Sylvana Mestre, after she was told her footwear wasn't approved for the competition.
