Mike turned spy in this week's edition of Survivor, trying to stay away from fellow contestants Joe and Tyler as they read a clue to a hidden immunity idol that's been placed into the game, staying close enough so he could track them.

Hoping not to alienate himself within his current alliance, Tyler tells Mike about the clue and so began a mad dash with all remaining players hoping to find the idol. Though Joe escaped the glare of Camp 'Merica for a short time, he didn't instantly find the idol, but Mike decided pretending he saw Joe pocket the game changer would create a huge target on his rival's back.

Later in the river, Dan did his best to rip Shirin piece from piece, laughing at her apparant inability to play the game properly despite being a superfan. She sat taking it all with a smile on her face, but it was hard to watch, especially when Dan went on to say he wishes someone would slap Shirin to shut her up in a confessional. Not a nice guy.

The idol was eventually found by an emotional Mike, who broke down in tears after pulling the enveloped aid from a tree. With this added to the game as well as Carolyn's, it looked like the seven strong alliance of white and blue collar would dominate.

In the season's second individual immunity challenge, puzzles were on the cards as players had to complete four separate slide puzzles. Shirin was clearly exciting, bantering back and forth with host Jeff Probst before things got underway.

Hali, Tyler, Dan, Mike, Carolyn, Shirin, Jenn and Will all took an early lead, leaving Rodney behind and struggling to even complete the first slide maze.

Joe was the first tribe member to reach his final slide puzzle, before being joined by many of his fellow competitors, and it wasn't long before Dan claimed he'd won the challenge. Unfortunately for him, he was wrong. He was wrong the second time he claimed a win as well, leaving the door open for Joe to claim his second individual immunity win and third consecutive challenge victory.

Team White and Blue shook their heads, as the No Collars plus Shirin wondered just who would be sent packing now the main target was safe.

That target seemed to be Hali when Mike voiced his concern about the No Collar three being tighter than anybody else on the island. Meanwhile, the No Collar ladies sat with Sierra and Shirin on the beach, all hoping to band together in a female alliance that would send Dan packing.

"You go misogynistic on the girls, girls are gonna vote you out, Dan!" laughed Hali in a confessional. It was hard not to get onboard.

Shirin did some campaigning with Tyler, who recognises the men in his alliance are big threats, and it looked like it wouldn't just be Sierra who would flip the tribe on its head at the vote.

As the votes came in, Dan and Hali's necks were quite obviously on the line with no immunity idols being played. Tied up until four votes, it was Hali who was eventually sent packing. Unfortunately for the ladies, their hopes of sending Dan home just didn't go to plan. It was a sad ending to a great episode, but another reminder of just how brilliant this game truly is. Sometimes good doesn't trumph 'evil'.

The fallout and drama continues next week, when Survivor continues on CBS.
