New York subway delayed by kittens

''There is no service to Manhattan on the Q or B line because of cats and kittens on the tracks at Church Avenue.''

The New York subway was forced to shut for hours after kittens got on the tracks.

Part of the line in Brooklyn was suspended after two felines were spotted at Church Avenue station, but when workers went to rescue the four-legged-friends they fled in the other direction causing further delays.

A conductor said: ''There is no service to Manhattan on the Q or B line because of cats and kittens on the tracks at Church Avenue.''

Several commuters reacted angrily to the news cats were responsible for the lengthy delays, but the kittens were eventually caught with the help of a milk crate.
