Bell End mugs are a hit

Bell End mugs have become a huge hit.

''I spoke to one expert who believes it may have something to do with a river, but there are always so many stories doing the rounds.''

Mugs carrying the picture of the street sign for the questionably-named road in the West Midlands of England have become a massive seller according to an online trader.

Orders for merchandise of the residential street have been made across the world to firm Lesser Spotted Britain, including from Australia, New Zealand and America.

Bell End's name is a mystery to company director Dominic Greyer, who would otherwise be happy to provide helpful information on it to accompany the product.

He said: ''I spoke to one expert who believes it may have something to do with a river, but there are always so many stories doing the rounds.''

The products are predicted to be a best-seller this Christmas.
