Flat pack home can be built in four hours

A flat pack home which can be built in four hours has been created.

The three-storey property, called the QB2, is a modest 10ft tall and wide and 13ft deep, and is fit for two people.

''I think it is great, of course I would say that, but I really do think it is and it is the only one in the world.''

Among the abode's other advantages are that it doesn't need planning permission because of its low height and only takes around four hours to construct.

University of Hertfordshire's Dr. Mike Page - who created the home - told the Daily Mail newspaper: ''The QB2 is practical and fits together easily. If someone can put up an Ikea Billy bookcase then they can put this up.

''I think it is great, of course I would say that, but I really do think it is and it is the only one in the world.''

The property contains a double bed, full-size shower and fully functioning kitchen with clever storage solutions throughout. Versions are to go on sale in 2014, ranging in price from £10,500 to £45,000.
