The 11-year-old boy from Talladega, Alabama, shot the burglar in the leg with a 9mm handgun at his house on Wednesday (04.05.16) morning when he heard someone upstairs.
In an interview with broadcaster WVTM, Chris said: ''When he was coming down the stairs, that's when he told me he was going to kill me, f*** you and all that. When I pulled the gun out I guess he didn't think it was a real gun cause he didn't worry about it, he just kept on walking. I shot through the hamper he was carrying. It was a full metal jacket bullet. It went straight through the back of his leg. He started crying like a little baby.''
Police investigating the incident have not released the name of the culprit, who was taken to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center.
Giving a message to the burglar, Chris said: ''I hope you learn your lesson coming to this house trying to steal stuff.''
