Dean Pugh has spent £3,000 on Pot Noodle merchandise and has three vending machines full of instant noodles at his house in Worcestershire.

The 53-year-old plasterer said he began eating them at work 30 years ago but got hooked when he started snacking on them during his metal detecting trips.

Pugh has had a Pot Noodle every day over the past decade and his memorabilia includes a Chicken Korma pot signed by the model Caprice.

He told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone likes a Pot Noodle on the field. It only needs a bit of hot water - it's better than a cold sandwich!

"The next thing you know, the guys all seem to get a kick out of it and I become the Noodle King and they all started bringing me Pot Noodles!"
