''And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f**k it, I quit.''

A TV news reporter has quit live on air.

Charlo Green stunned viewers of US station KTVA when she announced she was quitting the show to focus on her campaign to get cannabis legalised.

During her newscast, she declared: ''Now everything you heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness which begins with legalising marijuana here in Alaska.''

She added: ''And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f**k it, I quit.''
