The Young family took Pumpkin in and raised her with their pet pooches, Toffee and Oreo, after she fell from a tree and broke her leg and now the animal believes she is also a dog.
Pumpkin was found in the Bahamas where it is legal to have raccoons as pets and she quickly became part of the family.
Daughter Laura told CBS News: ''Pumpkin considers the dogs her mums.
''She respects them when they have had enough rough play and she loves to cuddle next to them when she is tired.''
