Three-eyed cow born in India

A three-eyed cow has been born in India.

The animal is described as a miracle by owner Meghala and by many as the worldly manifestation of the Hindu god Shiva, after whom it has been named, the Daily Mirror newspaper reports.

Hundreds have begun to make pilgrimage to Tamil Nadu, southern India, for the opportunity to catch sight of the believed deity and pray to it.

Children have also been touching the cow on the forehead in the belief that it will bring them luck.

Shiva is one of the primary gods in Hinduism and patron of yoga and the arts.
