Boy falls from nine feet

A baby has escaped serious injury after falling nine feet onto a concrete floor.
Jonah Murphy, aged one, from Hebburn, South Tyneside, north-eastern England, was upstairs playing in a bedroom when he managed to walk for the first time and fell through a gap in the staircase onto the stone tiles below, reports the Daily Star.
Jonah escaped with a cracked eye socket and a black eye and has already started walking again.
Mother Kelly Murphy said: ''When I saw him lying there on the floor, I thought that was it.
''I thought we were going to lose him or that if he survived he wouldn't be the same little boy he was before. By some miracle, he's OK.''
