Glenda Blackwell called her spouse Buddy a ''fool'' when he asked her to buy him two tickets for the Powerball lottery, but later had to eat her words when she won the jackpot.
Admitting to getting aggravated with her husband's gambling ways, she bought the Carolina Millions card in a bid to prove her point about wasting money, but instead received the biggest shock of her life.
She told WLOS: ''I had to eat my words, but they were worth eating. So, I was very happy.''
Glenda admits that the family had been struggling with money problems and is relieved that she can now buy their family a home and will also help pay for her two granddaughters to go to college.
Despite winning the jackpot, The 57 year old insists she still isn't a fan of scratchcards and won't be purchasing anymore.
