Amitabh Bachchan's new film, Aladdin has been delayed because of Aamir Khan's Ghajini.It is widely known that Bachchan is very big in the Bollywood industry, even being labelled as Big B, and everyone makes way for him, but not this time it seems. Bachchan plays the role of a genie in Sujoy Ghosh's Aladdin, with the film being mainly aimed at a child audience. The filming has been completed for a fair while now and the release was set for Christmas.But now because of Aamir Khan's rescheduled release date of his film Ghajini, due to illness, the team behind Aladdin decided to delay the release of their film to February.
The Director of Aladdin, Sujoy Ghosh insists there is no rivalry involved between the two actors, "Mr. Bachchan has no competition and we are not worried. We are yet to finish a promotional song with Mr. Bachchan and since he was busy with The Unforgettable we could not manage to do so. The film also targets the kids and we needed an appropriate release. We had to reschedule the shooting dates and hence the delay."
