Kareena Kapoor recommended his name to her new beau Saif Ali Khan who will soon be producing a movie.However Kareena Kapoor is unhappy with his casting. Trouble started when instead of casting Kareena Kapoor opposite Saif, he cast Deepika Padukone. Saif is supposed to have had a heated argument with the director but finally gave in to his demands. Kareena seems to be very upset with all this as she thought Imtiaz should have been more grateful towards her on this.Imtiaz however feels different on the issue and said that his favourite actress did not fit the role and thus has gone to Deepika. The director said that favoritism is not his tool while casting for a movie and he is looking forward to working with Kareena Kapoor in the future.
