Slumdog Millionaire's child star Rubina Ali is reported to have been offered for sale by her father.
The News of the World reportedly sent an undercover reporter to meet Rubina's father Rafiq Qureshi to arrange adoption of the child and he demanded £2000,000 for the young actress.
Rafiq blamed the situation on Hollywood bosses claiming they forced him to put his nine year old daughter up for sale.
The paper reported that he sees it as a way for his family to escape the Bandra slum where they live in Mumbai.
Rubina's father has since denied the deal. He said he was paid 1.5 lac rupees from Slumdog Millionaire and added that he did not get the house promised to him from the film.
