Being the sister of one of the most famous women in the world, one would assume the release of her book would sell a lot of copies, yes?
No.
The book is filled with ideas on how to be a great host at party time. With Christmas fast approaching this book was sure to be winner with those people who live for this time of year and everything edible and decorative in it.
The book has come under major scrutiny as it makes reference to the fact that all your drawers should be filled to the brim with useful tools to aid your cooking and party decoration needs. Some critics thought this was a little condecending to the reader and so did not award it highly in thier reviews.
The book was only place 177th on the Amazon best seller list, selling only £2000 in its first week and with only a month before Christmas, this does not bode well for future sales.
Peppa Pig’s new endorsement ‘Christmas Wish’ has already eclipsed the sales of ‘Celebrate’ and the publisher, Penguin has had to slash the price of the book form £25 to £12.50.
Twitter had got hold do this and had parodied the book already, which can only help the book do better.
