Wartime Notebooks
The notebooks are that of the author's which were discovered, exploring the life Duras endured from her difficult childhood to "her harrowing wait for her husband's return from internment." They were written at a time of struggle, when countries were at war with eachother and people's lives were turned upside down. It was obvious this book would be hard to read in some places, a book that cannot be taken light heartedly. "Wartime Notebooks" may just about change your view on history for good as you follow in the footsteps of a woman who lived through a time of historical devastation.
