1. I have five children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

2. I was a nurse for forty-five years. During that time, I wrote for nursing and medical journals.

3. I never learned to type! I write my first draft in long hand−can't create on a machine. I use the Dragon, voice activated software, to read my manuscript into the computer. The downside is that I have to read all the punctuation marks. And, if a word has multiple meanings, the computer doesn't know which one I want. So I correct as I go along.

4. My first novel was published in 2007. I was in my seventies.

5. My tenth novel just came out in Sept. 2015.

6. My Emma Winberry cozy mystery series consists of six books. I have to admit that I have fallen in love with my male character, Nate Sandler. So have some of my fans.

7. I am ending the series with the sixth book. Why? Because after six books many series begin to deteriorate. I don't want that to happen to Emma and Nate.

8. In researching my books, I have been to London and the village of Roydon which dates back to King Henry XVIII. Since my youngest daughter lives in London, I spent three weeks there. Even called Scotland Yard for information.

I have spent time on a forty-nine foot sailboat in the Caribbean. My son and his wife live on the boat. A picture of the boat is on the cover of my most recent book: Rogue Wave.
