Don't let bad breath ruin a date

Don't let bad breath ruin a date

Can you imagine anything worse than leaning in for a kiss and the guy having bad breath?

It’s no surprise that it has been voted as the biggest romantic turn off in the UK and nearly three-quarters said they wouldn’t let the person kiss them if they had a stench surrounding their mouth.

So why then, does a new report by Dentyl Active reveal that 25 per cent of us have suffered from bad breath?

The research found that bad breath is also considered worse than a flabby stomach, spots or skin blemishes and even unwanted facial or body hair.

Modern-day lifestyles are affecting our teeth significantly. Research has shown that carbonated drinks can double or triple the incidence of tooth decay.

Dental decay is on the increase with more than half of adults in the UK also have one or more decayed teeth. Fluoride plays a crucial role in preventing enamel erosion and hardening dental softspot.

While it is most common that your bad breath has been caused by the food you've eaten, if it happens consistently it's down to poor oral hygiene and it's up to you to sort this out.

Brushing your teeth regularly, flossing and using mouthwash will sort this problem out in no time. Don't forget all of those hard to reach places either.
