The ‘new Dean Martin’ returns…Sophisticated, charming, stylish and romantic are all words used to describe the ‘Voice Of Romance’ - 28 year old Italian Patrizio Buanne - whose aim is to “make romance cool again – the same way that Jamie Oliver has made cooking cool!.”Since the release of his Top 10 debut album ‘The Italian’ in spring 2005, Patrizio has been busy conquering the world. ‘The Italian’ has achieved gold sales status in not only the UK but also in America and 6 other countries and is platinum in New Zealand, South Africa and Asia and double platinum in Australia. Now with one million album sales tucked under his belt Patrizio is returning to Britain with his second album ‘Forever Begins Tonight’. A collection of timeless romantic classics that is already gold in Asia (where it has been outselling the likes of The Killers and the Scissor Sisters since its international release! ) ‘Forever Begins Tonight’ sees Patrizio singing in English, Spanish and his native Italian. The album, recorded in Vienna, Warsaw and London’s Abbey Road Studios, is a mix of original tracks along with Patrizio’s signature interpretation of classic Italian songs and some of the world’s best known love songs. The Pope, Tony Bennett, Kiefer Sutherland, Gwen Stefani, The Queen and Robbie Williams all enjoy his music. In fact Robbie Williams was so impressed by Patrizio that he gave his permission for him to record Angels in Italian - the only artist ever to be allowed to do so – and it is featured on the album as ‘Un Angelo’ - “I liked the idea of taking a famous pop song and interpreting it in my way, giving it the Italian touch. It was a very nice gesture of Robbie’s” explains Patrizio. The title track, written for Patrizio by Mike Stevens (Annie Lennox / Take That) and platinum selling Conner Reeves, is (like many songs on this wonderfully romantic record) aural red roses and the album sees Patrizio, with his fine voice and immaculate phrasing, reclaiming the era of smooth 50s/60s entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias and Dean Martin. With his individual sense of style, charm, fun and with his wonderful baritone voice, Patrizio has become something of a unique performer in the modern world of musical entertainment - “I was born to entertain and have been doing it all my life. It is my culture, it is my nature, it is my passion”

Patrizio is performing on Radio 2’s Friday Night Is Music Night on March 9th and on GMTV and Loose Women on Friday 16th March. Patrizio Buanne
