New classical supergroup Blake return with a gorgeous a cappella reworking of this seminal Leonard Cohen song, which was made famous by Jeff Buckley. With a delicious vocal arrangement by the group themselves, and production by super-producer Nick Patrick (Russell Watson, Hayley Westenra) this version rivals the original, and is set to dominate the charts. Blake have had an amazing rise to fame, since forming on Facebook last year. Their debut album topped the classical charts, has now gone gold, and has gained them fans from Keira Knightley to Cilla Black. The boys sung a surprise rendition of Happy Birthday at Dame Shirley Bassey’s 70th birthday party, have hung out with Will Smith, and are well on the way to becoming showbiz royalty. This stunning release, available as a download only, will convert yet more people to the beautiful sound of Blake. Blake has also been chosen to become ambassadors for the War Widows Association of Great Britain. They want to show their support for the men and women of the British Forces who are fighting on the front line, and those bereaved by war, they are to set about raising the profile of the association starting with a concert on 28th February at St. James Piccadilly.
