Danny Glover to be honoured

Danny Glover is set to be feted for his work as an activist by officials at the National Civil Rights Museum.

The Lethal Weapon star will be recognised alongside Oscar-nominated actress Cicely Tyson, who will be honoured for her contributions to the arts, at the 2011 Freedom Awards in Memphis, Tennessee.
 
The ceremony will take place on 12 November.
 
The accolades are given to civil rights pioneers in the fields of education, humanitarianism, the arts, sports, activism and legal justice.
