Pals of the 21-year-old aspiring singer - who is in a medically-induced coma "fighting for her life" after being found face down in a bathtub at her home late last month (31.01.15) - are to stage the event at the Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center in Riverdale, Georgia, just outside of Atlanta.

Family members are not expected to be in attendance as they are likely to keep a bedside vigil 20 miles away at Emory University Hospital, where Bobbi - whose late mother Whitney Houston accidentally drowned in a bathtub in a Beverly Hills hotel in February 2012 - is on life support.

The vigil, which is being called Shining a Light of Healing for Bobbi Kriss, is open to the public and will start at 7pm local time at the amphitheater, where Bobbi's father, Bobby Brown, once headlined a concert.

Members of the Riverdale community are being encouraged to take lights and signs along to show their support for Bobbi.

Monica Palmer, a longtime family friend, admitted the star's relatives have been trying everything to encourage her to wake up.

She told news channel Fox 5: "They pray, they sing songs, they're really supportive.

"The mood is kind of somber. Just wanting and waiting for her to wake up."

Bobbi's family are said to be praying for God to perform a "miracle" after there was "no change" in her condition.

A family member told PEOPLE: "We are hoping that God will see fit to perform a miracle in her, so that he will get the glory.

"Everyone is praying; we have laid hands on Krissi and have been praying for a miracle. I don't know why that is so controversial. If it were your child, you would do the same thing. Where there is life, there is hope."
