Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie snapped up some last-minute bargain buys for Christmas at discount store Target over the weekend.

The A-list couple stopped by the budget retailers in Robina, north east Australia, for some last-minute present-buying on Sunday (22.12.13) with their six children - Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, eight, Shiloh, seven, and five-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne - in tow.

The pair, who have a combined net worth of over $300 million, requested for the store to stay open after hours so they could snap up bargain items without being disturbed by fans.

A Target employee told the Gold Coast Bulletin newspaper: "They made sure no one was around to blow their cover. The store manager waited until everyone had gone home and opened it up secretly for them at 7:30pm on Sunday.

"She said they shopped for around an hour and a half to buy presents for their children and friends. Who would have thought people like them would do their shopping at Target?"

Stuart Machin, Target's Chief Executive, confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: "Team at our Target Robina store are thrilled that Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and their children shopped at Target today.

The family are staying on the Gold Coast while Angelina, 38, directs a war drama, 'Unbroken', and have been making the most of their holiday Down Under.

On Monday (23.12.13), they were spotted cruising on the Coomera River in a boat before docking at a private beach.

They then enjoyed a walk along the waterfront, with 50-year-old hunk Brad whipping off his shirt to soak up the sun.

The Jolie-Pitts are expected to celebrate Christmas at a private villa on the nearby Hamilton Island.
