Channing Tatum says that his wife keeps him sane and helps keep everything in perspective for him.

Tatum met wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum during filming Step Up in 2006, and went on to marry three years later in 2009. And it is Jenna who helps keep her husband’s feet firmly on the ground.

Speaking to People magazine, the actor said: "She keeps us all sane. Jenna puts everything in perspective for me, always.

"I'll find myself spinning out or angry or whatever, or even happy, and she always somehow ends up righting the ship."

2014 has been a busy year for the actor with the success of 22 Jump Street and animation film The Book of Life. He has also completed work on Foxcatcher and Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to Magic Mike.

Foxcatcher is a movie that has all the critics raving and looks set to be a major awards player at the beginning of next year. Bennett Miller is in the director’s chair and see Tatum team up with Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.

Now that Tatum has wrapped on Foxcatcher and Magic Mike XXL, the actor is looking forward to spending time with is wife and young daughter.

He continued: "I just want to have that, more of that, more time with the family."
