Christian Bale's estranged mother wants to repair their relationship.
The 'American Hustle' actor hasn't spoken to his mum Jenny after a row argument six years ago, but she has reached out and wants to reconcile before his 40th birthday on Thursday (30.01.14).
Speaking to the Sunday Mirror, she said: "Six years is long enough. I want him back. It's so sad we have not spoken in all this time. It's sad for him too.
"His grandma Edna is 90 now and she wants contact with him - and its his 40th coming up. Now would be a wonderful time to get back together so we could all be a family again.
"I want to reach out to him. I hope he reads this and gets in touch. I hope we can get back to how we used to be."
Christian fell out with Jenny and his sister Sharon after an argument in a hotel the evening before his 'Dark Knight' premiere in 2008, which saw the police called and the actor arrested on suspicion of assault.
However, despite their lack of contact his mother still watches all of his movies, even if she finds it emotional.
She added: "I have them all. Every one he's made. Then sometimes Christian will come up on TV in one of his films.
"I'll be flicking through the channels and suddenly there he is, looking at me from the TV. I think, 'Oh God', and carry on watching."
