The 72-year-old singer's limo was hit in a collision with another car, which jumped a stop sign in the city of Bethlehem on Wednesday afternoon (13.04.16).

The incident happened at 5pm at 100 block of East Third Street, according to Bethlehem police Chief Mark DiLuzio.

The Motown legend later complained of head and neck pain, police told ABC.

However, the former Supremes singer went on to perform at the Sands Event Center in Lehigh Valley in the city later that evening at around 7pm and insisted she would seek further medical treatment by herself.

Ross has since taken to her Twitter account to let her followers know she is "fine" and will still be performing a concert at the Providence Performing Arts Centre in Rhode Island tonight (14.04.16).

She wrote: "I was involved in a car accident yesterday, but I'm fine.I ask you not to worry. I will see you tonight at the show in Providence :) (sic)"

The SUV that hit Ross' vehicle was believed to be driven by a 22-year-old female from New Jersey and police say she was issued with a traffic citation.

Meanwhile, the 'I Will Survive' hitmaker's Lincoln Town Car was towed away from the scene with a smashed up bonnet.
