The 32-year-old rapper insists his friend and 'Figure It Out' collaborator is "doing great" after being hospitalised with psychosis caused by dehydration and sleep deprivation, and he is always there to support him.

He told 'Entertainment Tonight': "He's doing great. He's a, he's a strong guy.

"He's been through a lot and you know, this is just another hurdle in the way, you know what I'm saying?

"I mean, I love everything he been doing, man. I feel like he's speaking the truth, you know what I'm saying? I'm with him, that's my big brother."

French dated Khloe Kardashian - the sister of Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian West - on and off in 2014, and though they are no longer together, he has stayed close to the family.

Asked if he is in touch with the Kardashians, he said: "Yeah, I mean I love them all. They're all my friends, forever - for life. That's my family, you know, forever."

Kanye was released from hospital last week and it was recently revealed he

is already planning to return to work.

According to reports, the 'Bound 2' hitmaker - who has daughter North, three, and son Saint, 12 months, with Kim - has even built a temporary studio in his Los Angeles home.

But the decision to launch himself back into his work might not come as a surprise to his famous family, as he reportedly wanted to work on his music and clothing line whilst he was still recovering in hospital.

A source said: "Kanye keeps wanting to work. At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed. And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines.

"He continues to want to work and Kim has to keep telling him to rest."
