The 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2' actor is proud he and Spanish actress Claudia Traisac are able to make their romance work thanks to "a lot of travelling and a lot of Skype" but admits it's hard not being together very much.

He said: "I feel like, I'm with you because I'm seeing you and we're talking, but also you're a f***ing screen. It's very frustrating...

"[But] It's kind of cool. We're doing this international thing. We're young, we make it work."

The 23-year-old actor compared his experience working on 'The Hunger Games' series - in which he plays Peeta Mallark - to going to college.

He explained to DuJour magazine: "The Hunger Games has been the equivalent of a college experience.

"At 18, you go to college. Now I'm 23. I'm out of college."

Despite the success and popularity the franchise has brought him, Josh is stunned by the devotion of his fans.

He said: "I was shooting in Cincinnati. "And I woke up one morning to go to work. I walked to my car.

"And literally sitting on the ground, sleeping in front of the car -- huddled up in hoodies and blankets -- were two 12 or 13-year-old girls and their mom. They popped up like a f***ing Jack-in-the-Box.

"They said they'd been waiting there for hours and hours for me to come out. I was like, this is not right."
