The 60-year-old showbiz matriarch rushed to the basketball player's hospital bedside in Nevada after he was found unconscious at a brothel in October, and has admitted it broke her heart to see him depending on a ventilator.

Speaking on her family's E! reality TV show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians', which is filmed months in advance, last night (31.01.16), she said of the tragic ordeal: "I felt helpless. It was really crazy. I'm so overwhelmed with what's going on with Lamar. It's heartbreaking. I don't think I've ever felt so powerless, and it makes me really sad."

Filming for the popular programme was then halted for seven days - out of respect for the family - while Lamar was airlifted from Las Vegas to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

But Kris wasn't just worried about Lamar, 36, during the traumatic emergency as she was also concerned for the welfare of her daughter Khloe Kardashian, as she refused to leave her estranged husband's bedside - even to use the bathroom.

Speaking to her eldest daughter Kourtney Kardashian, Kris said: "I'm going back this afternoon and see what Khloe needs... Take her some fresh clothes and hopefully she'll get her hair washed."

And to another friend, she admitted: "Khloe hasn't slept in over a week. She did not leave his side one time. I don't even know if she's had a shower yet."

Talking on camera later, Kourtney said: "Khloe has been spending every second in the hospital with Lamar by his side and she feels guilty for needing to leave even if it's to take a shower."

Over the past few months, Lamar - who collapsed after a four-day drugs and alcohol binge - has made a slow recovery but is now out of hospital and going through rehabilitation after his speech, brain function and ability to move his body was affected following the overdose.

Khloe, 31, has also managed to get on with her life, although still supports her former beau, and is now focusing on her relationship with James Harden.
