The 65-year-old TV star has revealed she relied on her ex-husband - who died of cancer in September 2003, at the age of 59 - to handle their bills and she only took control of her own finances after their split.

Kris - who was married to Robert between 1978 and 1991 - said: "One day, my friend Shelli Azoff said to me when I was going through my divorce, ‘How much is your gardener?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know.' And she said, ‘You don’t know?’ That was the turning point for me: I was embarrassed that I didn’t know."

Kris - who has Kourtney, 41, Kim, 40, Khloe, 36, and Rob, 34, with Robert, as well as Kendall, 25, and Kylie, 23, with Caitlyn Jenner - quickly realised she needed to take control of her finances.

She told the Wall Street Journal newspaper: "I woke up one day to responsibilities that I hadn’t had the day before. And I needed to figure it out. And the good news is, I pay attention … I’m a quick study and I knew I had to get it together."

Meanwhile, Andy Cohen recently revealed that the Kardashians test everyone for COVID-19 before they enter their homes.

The talk-show host - who interviewed Kourtney, Kim and Khloe, as well as their mother Kris, for his new E! docu-series - lifted the lid on their elaborate testing process.

He shared: "I was driven to this medical centre in the [San Fernando] Valley, where I got a COVID test ... And I said [to the medical staff], 'Are you gonna give me the results now?' And the guy said, 'No. They're gonna take you to the house.' I think they do this for all the visitors.'"

Andy, 52, was then told he would be driven to the house and would only find out if he tested negative or positive for the virus if the second gate was to open for his car.

He said: "I was like, 'The second gate?! I find out my COVID results?!' It was amazing ... I was like, 'Is this the gate?' The driver was like, 'No. It's the next one.' We go. There it is. It opens. I'm like, 'I'm COVID safe!'"
