LeAnn Rimes' invasion of privacy lawsuit has been dismissed.

The Rimes had accused California school teacher Kimberly Smiley and her daughter Alexa of allegedly recording their telephone conversation in 2012 without the singer's permission, excerpts from which were later leaked to the public, requested that a judge throw out the case on Monday (28.10.13), and it cannot be re-filed.

A lawyer for the defendants said that both sides had resolved their differences and reached a settlement, and would not be commenting further, according to RadarOnline.com.

A jury trial that was scheduled to take place on June 2, 2014 has now been cancelled.

Smiley previously asked a judge to dismiss the lawsuit in September, two months after LeAnn's team said she was "too busy" to give a deposition for the lawsuit.

A source said in July: "LeAnn just released an album and says she is too busy on dates that were suggested for her deposition."

Another insider suggested the singer was reluctant to move forward, saying: "LeAnn's team has turned down two suggested dates for her deposition. But she is going to have to do this eventually."

The singer, 31, who was treated for stress and anxiety in rehab last year, was abused online because of her affair with her now husband Eddie Cibrian, while he was still married to reality TV star Brandi Glanville, and called Kimberly to discuss the alleged bullying.
