The 24-year-old model and former 'Hills' star Kristin, 37, went public with their relationship in February but even though fans were quick to point out their 13-year age gap, he insisted that she makes him "happy" an they just "clicked" with one another.

He told E! News: "She makes happy, I make her happy. That's what's important, so I'm not too worried about the critics, honestly. We just clicked."

Kristin recently revealed that she's dating the TikTok star - who is part of a content creation team known as the Montana Boyz - and later now confirmed that she first came across her new boyfriend through social media.

During a new episode of the 'Let’s Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari' podcast, she shared: "He is [my type]. You know what it is, too? He's gorgeous, it's like everything about him is perfect, but he's also outdoorsy and manly and it's like that combination of the two for me is just, like, game over."

Kristin referred to Mark as the "hottest guy" she's ever seen.

However, she didn't make her first real connection with the Montana Boyz until several weeks later.

The TV star explained: "Three weeks later, I get a DM on Instagram from the Montana Boyz that just says 'I love you.' And I’m going, 'Oh, my God'."

Kristin subsequently developed a strong bond with Mark through their social media exchanges.

The reality star also revealed that their first date left her feeling like she was "in high school".

She added: "He came, he brought me flowers, picked me up, we went to dinner, it was very sweet."

Kristin has been criticised for their 13-year age gap - but she insists that age is just a number.

Kristin - who was married to sports star Jay Cutler between 2013 and 2022 - said: "Me dating a 24-year-old is not something that I was searching out. It's not something that I at all ever thought would ever happen.

"I understand what it looks like to the outside world. I really do. I get that."
