The 'Game of Thrones' actress, now 33, has admitted she would have struggled to cope with the attention she's currently receiving were she a few years younger.

She said: "I'm really glad now that I didn't pop earlier, because in my 20s, I wasn't ready.

"To get your identity as a woman sorted before you're questioned about it constantly, and asked in the public sphere to qualify who and what you are... I think most 33-year-old women would say: 'I wouldn't do my 20s again for love nor money.'"

Natalie appears alongside Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence in the 'Hunger Games' franchise, and has admitted her co-star's experience has made her question her own desire to be famous.

She told the Guardian newspaper: "With every burden there's a gift, and with every gift, a burden, as Jennifer's career proves.

"When you've seen an existence like Jen has, up close, it makes you think hard about what you thought you were striving for in exposure."

Meanwhile, the actress also admitted to being the opposite of many of her on-screen characters.

She shared: "It's always been a joke to a lot of my friends that I play these cool femme fatales who look like they could take over the world with their little finger. I'm not really that, it's fair to say!

"When it comes down to it, I'm quite a loquacious, quirky, clumsy human being."
