The 'America's Got Talent' host has been single since splitting from wife Mariah Carey - with whom he has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - almost two years ago but it seems he has now moved on and is romancing the 'Waterfalls' singer.

An onlooker at WDKX's Summerfest Concert in Rochester, New York (09.07.16) on Saturday told the New York Daily News newspaper: "It looked serious. They were hugged-up and kissing."

TLC were headlining the show and Nick was with Chilli, 45, before and after her performance, and watched on "adoringly" as she performed.

The source said: "He watched Chilli intensely and lovingly as the group performed, then couldn't keep his hands off her backstage. They are definitely together!"

Nick - who has been friends with Chilli for several years - was previously linked to Nicole Murphy late last year, but a few months ago insisted he doesn't have time to date.

He said: "When can I focus on that? I'm not comfortable being (a) boyfriend."

The 35-year-old star recently claimed separating from Mariah had made him a better father.

He said: "[It's been] amazing. It has put everything in the proper perspective. I think co-parenting actually allows us to be better parents, because when it's that time, we don't think about ourselves at all.

"We are extremely selfless and make it all about the kids."

Nick admitted he is an overprotective father and is already concerned for his daughter's future romances, especially after she claimed she was married to one of her pals.

He explained his shocked reaction towards his daughter's imaginary love life: "My knees just buckled and I was like, 'You're married?!' Luckily, it was a boy that is like my godson and I said, 'You're not married to him,' but I couldn't even explain it to her because...does that mean you're attracted to him?

"Why are you calling this little boy your husband? The boy did not talk to me about this first! He is supposed to come check, and when did the ceremony go down? I was crushed when she said that to me!"

But Nick isn't as worried about Moroccan as he is "on the same page" as his boy.

He added: "I don't know what I would say to her, but obviously, my son, that's easy. I can talk to him. He is enjoying it. I just bought him the Sports Illustrated magazine Sunday. Me and him are on the same page, but my daughter, I don't even know how I am going to handle it!"
