Paulina Rubio is facing foreclosure on her home in Miami, Florida.
The 'X Factor' USA judge's neighbours have accused her of failing to pay the required maintenance fees on condo for the past 18 months and the homeowners association has filed a foreclosure action against her.
The building manager Didi Ashe told GossipExtra: "We're using all collection tools at our disposal. But I cannot comment further as the matter is in litigation."
The Latin star allegedly owes $30,000 in fees, interest and penalties for her 18th floor property.
Court records, obtained by gossip website RadarOnline.com, show the homeowners association filed a lien against the 42-year-old star in April but she didn't acknowledged.
Her neighbours then decided they had no other choice but to take the dramatic step of filing for foreclosure.
News of Paulina's financial woes follow reports her ex-husband wants her to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The singer is embroiled in a bitter custody battle with her former spouse, Nicolas Vallejo, whom she divorced last year after almost five years of marriage, and he recently asked a judge to force Paulina to prove she is a mentally fit to care for their son, Andrea Nicolas, who will celebrate his 3rd birthday in November.
The former couple have been fighting for custody of their son for more than a year, and have both accused each other of alienating Andrea from them.
