Simon Cowell's married lover held more crisis talks with her estranged husband last night (02.08.13)
Lauren Silverman - who is around 10 weeks pregnant with the music mogul's first child - met with Andrew Silverman at their $4 million New York home at around 4.45pm, seven hours after the casino boss departed the property after earlier discussions.
Andrew - who has seven-year-old son Adam with Lauren - told waiting reporters: "This is a very difficult time, please keep your distance."
Despite claims Simon and Lauren's affair has been going on for some time after pictures of them appearing close last August surfaced, one of her friends insist the romance is "fresh" but the pair are happy together.
Mzia Shiman told MailOnline: "Lauren and Andrew were never separated but Andrew works long hours, he's often not in New York.
"She and Andrew were always invited to things together by Simon but if Andrew couldn't go, sometime Lauren would go on her own.
"They were close friends and then one day it turned into something else. This is all fresh. Lauren didn't plan any of this. It's not some kind of trick.
"I know one, thing for sure, they are in love with each other. I hope they will get married and be happy forever."
And the spa owner believes Andrew will eventually forgive his former friend and estranged wife for their actions.
She said: "Andrew was very fond of Simon and vice versa. I really believe Andrew will find it in his heart to do the right thing."
