Usher's eldest son is in intensive care in hospital.
Usher's five-year-old son, Usher Raymond V, was rushed to a medical centre in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday (05.08.13), after he allegedly almost drowned in a swimming pool at his home when his arm got stuck in a drain.
A source told gossip website TMZ that the little boy was playing in the water with his aunt when he dove down to retrieve a toy that was lying in the drain.
The insider said that his arm got stuck and his aunt immediately tried to rescue him but couldn't get his hand out.
A maid also dived in to the pool and started screaming for help when she couldn't release him.
Two men, who were working at the property, jumped into the pool and were able to pull Usher Jr. free and lay him beside the pool, where he was immediately given CPR.
'The Voice' mentor, 34, who also has a son Naviyd, four, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster, arrived at the scene and accompanied his son to hospital in an ambulance.
The source said that Usher, who secured full custody of his sons last year after a bitter divorce battle, is at his son's bedside in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) with Tameka, and doctors are still running tests but believe he will be okay.
Tameka's 11-year-old son Kile, from a previous relationship, died last year after a Jet Ski accident.
