Wyatt Russell's outlook has changed

The 37-year-old actor - who is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn - admitted he used to be driven by awards and recognition but after he and wife Meredith Hagner welcomed son Buddy into the world two years ago, his priority now is just to do his "best".

His father told The Rake magazine: "When you're making a movie, I just try to make what we intend to make as good as possible. I have no interest or care about awards."

Wyatt replied in the joint interview: "I have only become that way after the birth of my son.

"Before him I was concerned with my peers respecting me, but my son was born and I was like, F***that, who cares?

"It made me double down on wanting to do the best work."

The 'Falcon and the Winter Soldier' actor and producer Richard Peete recently launched their own cocktail range, Lake Hour, and Wyatt has had a "total blast" working on his new venture, which was inspired by Kurt's own Gogi wine.

Wyatt said: "I watched [my dad] go into this [wine] world and it was fun for him, it looked like a lot of fun. I never really thought about doing wine.

"My wife and my business partner's wife are best friends, and they set us up, and the Lake Hour idea emerged in a hot tub like all the best stories.

"He said, 'What if there was a beer called Lake Hour? ' Going to [Lake] Muskoka, north of Toronto, made me who I am, and we said that everyone has a lake story from when they are young.

"We thought there was a lot of fun to be had for a drink to be branded around lakes... We worked hard on it, and Pa helped with flavouring the drinks. It has been going really great and it has been a total blast."
