A deal has been reached between the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) after 118 days of action, which is now set to end at 12.01am on Thursday (09.11.23) in the US.

In a post on Instagram, Alec wrote: "The SAG-AFTRA strike has ended.

"Congratulations to each and every person, on both sides, who are responsible for this great occasion."

Speaking at the premiere of new wrestling biopic 'The Iron Claw', Zac said to reporters: "Let's go!"

His co-star Harris Dickinson quipped: "Let's f****** get outta here and get back to work."

Octavia Spencer revealed she is "ready to work now that the strike is over" as she congratulated those involved with getting over the line.

She wrote on social media: "Congratulations and thank you to our @sagaftra negotiating committee!

"Proud to stand in solidarity with all SAG members over the last 118 days."

She added: "Who else is dancing right now??? Ready to work now that the strike is over! Congratulations and thank you to our @sagaftra negotiating committee!"

And Mandy Moore said: "Thank you @sagaftra negotiators and leadership for getting us over the finish line!!!

"Gratitude is the attitude!! And grateful to all those who walked the walked (picketers, strike captains, Our fellow union brothers and sisters, etc...)"

The SAG-AFTRA vote on the deal was unanimous, and the union said it was "thrilled and proud" to announce the strike "is officially suspended" with all pickets closed.

They added in a statement: "In a contract valued at over one billion dollars, we have achieved a deal of extraordinary scope that includes 'above-pattern' minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus."
