Peter and Bambi Heaven

Please tell us about your brand of comedy.

I come from a burlesque cabaret dance background and my comedy is parody and sexy dancing. I am a clown, stripper and magician all in one. I like to subvert stereotypes and turn beautiful things into something sick and ugly.

What can audiences expect from your new show?

Audiences can expect the unexpected as you never know what direction or twist the show go in. It's also brilliant to watch how others react to the disaster of the show. Especially people who think that they are at a happy family magical variety show. And of course there is lots of tits and teeth from me!

Which comedians have been your biggest influence since you decided this was your path?

I never saw myself in comedy. I wanted to be in the Pina Bausch dance company but was a failed as a contemporary dancer. I fell in love with Asher Treleaven when I was 29. he is a hysterical stand up comic. He thought I was very funny and gave me the confidence to be funny on stage. I also really love Sara Sliverman and my Mum is very funny.

What random things make you laugh in everyday life?

My sister’s kids. Children are the funniest things in the world. They see life as it is!

Please tell us about your best and worst moment on stage so far.

My best moment on stage was performing on a small boat on the Hudson river in NYC for the NYC burlesque festival. I jumped out of big box topples and ran about the boat having a wale of time.

Do you still get nervous when you do a gig?

Yes if you don’t get nervous you don’t care.

Why is Edinburgh Fringe Festival such a great platform for comedians?

I guess cause everybody is there? John Cleese came to my 1st ever Edinburgh fringe show and greeted me in the artist bar. I mean crazy?

Who are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?

Hannah Gatsby

What is your advice to aspiring comedians?

Dont drink so much!

What is the oddest heckle you've ever received?

Someone threw a tampon at me.

What is next for you?

Hollywood…. I’m ready for Hollywood
