The meaning behind a pair of boots depends on the type you were wearing in your dreamscape.

Walking boots suggest that you need to get out and walk more if you have been cooped up lately. Perhaps walking or hiking is a pastime of yours that you have neglected lately and should think about taking up again.

Similarly, riding boots could mean you miss horse riding and you need to get back into this previous passion of yours. Along the same vein- football and rugby boots might have the same significance.

Designer boots may reflect your desire to dress up and socialise if this is something you’ve not been able to do for a while now.

If you were Christening a pair of boots and they were uncomfortable or gave you a blister, it’s possible you need to give something or someone more of a chance to settle in. In other words, don’t judge them or it too quickly. This person or thing could end up being a dependable and consistent part of your life.

The dream could be a pun for ‘giving someone the boot’, or perhaps you have been given the boot from a job, friendship circle or club lately. Was this justified or have you been unfairly dismissed? If it is the latter- can you challenge your position?

If you booted someone in your dream- in other words hit them very hard, try to remember who the person was and what grievances you have against them in your waking hours. Is this something you can resolve, do you need to agree to disagree or simply walk away?

Consider how you felt in the dream- if the boots you were wearing didn’t feel right, perhaps you are trying to be someone you’re not. The boots might represent the person you aspire to be or think you should be but are not currently and may never be. The dream might be telling you to accept who you are, rather than striving for perfection or some other unattainable standard.
