While Frank’s daughters, teenage sex goddess and rebel Alex and Mary (Jessica Barden; Coronation Street), Bingley’s youngest communists fight for his attention, Dorothy is the epitome of the British housewife and unlikely heroine. What started as a tremendous adventure to Frank’s promised land of equality and hope soon turns into a nightmare. Dorothy’s revolution begins when she strikes up an unlikely friendship that leads to a bizarre chain of events to escape from East Germany.

Directed by East is East’s Bille Eltringham this satirical comedy sees Mr. Ratcliffe fighting for the cause in contrast to his wife who is fighting for their family.
