Expect more pre-superhero shenanigans and high-definition action from teenager Clark Kent (Tom Welling) as Smallville Season 7 is released on Blu-ray and DVD on 13th October 2008, courtesy of Warner Home Video.

Clark continues to come to terms with his powers and abilities in the fictional middle American town of Smallville as all around him are enemies and allies, but which will prove the most dangerous?

Season 7 sees the introduction of Clark’s biological cousin from the Planet Krypton, Kara (Laura Vandervoort), who he tries to help blend in with society on Earth. This unwittingly lays him open to manipulation by Kara’s evil father, Zor-El (Terence Stamp), who secretly harbours plans to take control of the sacred Fortress of Solitude Clark’s only contact with home.

Meanwhile the young Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) continues in his criminal activities, taking particular interest in Kara and making some fascinating discoveries about the mysterious Project 33.1, whilst Clark’s love interest, Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) even adopts some secret powers of her own…with devastating effects.

This season even sees exciting guest appearances from Superman franchise legends; Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman) and Helen Slater (Supergirl).

Smallville Season 7, available on Blu-ray and DVD for the first time, continues to extend the boundaries of U.S action drama with compelling plotlines and complex, well-drawn characters.

Follow Clark Kent’s adventures inside the Phantom Zone as Smallville Season 6 is also released on Blu-ray for the first time from 13th October.
