The actor and his partner, Grant Shaffer, renewed their vows in New York on Saturday, five years after they first married.
The X2 star entered into a civil partnership with Shaffer, who is a graphic artist, at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, England, on January 7 2007.
Renewing their vows was the ideal way to celebrate their fifth anniversary
Cumming uploaded photographs of the ceremony to his Twitter account at the weekend, writing: "I just got married!!!!! On the 5th anniversary of our wedding in London, Grant and I tied the knot again in NYC!!!"
New York became the sixth US state to allow gay unions, in June 2011.
